Executive Council Elections

Tri Sigma Executive Council elections are held each triennium and take place the same year as Convention. All elected Executive Council members serve a 3-year term and guide the strategic vision of the organization.

Executive Council Applications

Executive Council members serve as the leaders accountable for the strategic vision of the organization, and ensure operations are consistent with the mission and values of Sigma Sigma Sigma. They are charged with having the critical conversations and making the difficult decisions needed to position the organization for a long, successful future.

Applications to serve on the 2025-28 Executive Council will open in early October. Collegiate and alumnae members in good standing may also recommend others for Executive Council service.

  • Click here to review the requirements, expectations, and responsibilities of Executive Council. All positions serve a 3-year term.

  • Any alumnae in good standing may apply to serve on Executive Council. Please review the position description to ensure you meet the requirements and can fulfill the duties of the role if selected. Applications must be received by Friday, Nov. 15 at 11:59 p.m. ET.

Current Council members do not automatically continue and must participate in the process in the same manner as other applicants. They may also decide not to seek re-election.

  • Any collegiate or alumnae member in good standing may recommend another member for Executive Council service by completing the recommendation form. All recommendations must be submitted by Tuesday, Nov. 5 at 11:59 p.m. ET.

The Nominating Committee Chair will contact all individuals recommended for Executive Council service and ask them to complete the application packet to be officially considered. Recommended individuals must submit their application no later than Friday, Nov. 15 at 11:59 p.m. ET.

  • All applications and recommendations will be sent to the Nominating Committee. The committee will work diligently to select a candidate list of those who are most qualified and best suited to lead the organization. After extensive evaluation, a list of highly adept candidates will be prepared and presented to be voted upon by the credentialed delegates prior to Convention.

The Nominating Committee is charged with the responsibility to strategically identify, evaluate, and provide a report to the membership for the Executive Council leadership of Sigma Sigma Sigma. The members of the Nominating Committee have influence on the future of the organization and should each be carefully selected. Nominating Committee members need a broad knowledge of the membership and the organization’s mission, vision, and values, including the strategic plan.

Applications are now closed.

  • Executive Council will work to assemble a committee that reflects the diversity of Tri Sigma’s membership and interests. Committee diversity shall include but is not limited to age, geographic location, sexual orientation, race and ethnicity, professional experience, and volunteer/leadership experience. It will be comprised of:

    • One (1) committee chair appointed by Executive Council in a process separate from this Nominating Committee application and selection process

    • Five (5) alumnae members

    • One (1) collegiate member

Note: All committee members must be in good standing, as verified by NHQ. Current Executive Council and staff members may not serve on the Nominating Committee. Anyone serving on the Nominating Committee may not be nominated to serve on Executive Council.
